ARMM PORTS AUTHORITY GEARS TO HOLD CORPORATE MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE AND TEAMBUILDING WORKSHOP

RPMA-ARMM, ORG Complex, Cotabato City.  Anchoring on its mandate to manage, administer and operate all ports, the Regional Ports Management Authority of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (RPMA-ARMM) is gearing to hold its 2013 RPMA Management Conference and Teambuilding Workshop at Eden Nature Park and Resort, Toril, Davao City on December 12-14, 2013.  As Chairman of the Governing Board of the agency, the Regional Governor, Hon. Mujiv Hataman is expected to attend. This event’s theme is ‘Sustainability of Reform Plans and Programs for Successful Ports Management in ARMM’ where all port managers, terminal supervisors, and cargo handling operators from major ports and sub-ports within the autonomous region’s jurisdiction are obliged to attend.

General Manager, Prof. Hanie A. Bud stating the purpose of the event said, ‘the conference-workshop activities shall be chartered on assessing the annual program and operations; identify issues, concerns and define suggestions/recommendations.’  Moreover, he said, ‘these will tackle corporate reports for 2013, set plans and program directions at port/terminal operations level, ports profiling, develop security plans and environmental protection programming, and framing the regional ports management plan and programs for 2014.’ 

The RPMA was created under Executive Order No. 2, Series of 2002 signed by then the fourth ARMM Regional Governor Parouk S. Hussin. ###
