Cotabato City, February 18. Fifty (50) ARMM Port Officials and Technical
Staff underwent a three-day training-workshop on Technical Writing, Corporate Financial
and Statistical Report Preparation at Pagana Kutawato Convention Center this city.
Hanie A. Bud, General Manager of RPMA disclosed
that this training is expected to enhance the writing capacity of management
front-liners of the Authority from the Regional Office down to the Port
Management and Terminal Management Offices which also include Cargo Handling
Operators.
According to the General Manager, the said capacity
training adds credence to report preparations which is uniquely and distinctly
maritime service oriented. Presently, RPMA administers and operates Baseports
Jolo and Bongao, and terminal ports of Lamitan, Siasi, Sibutu, Taganak, Sitangkai
and Mapun all located in the insular provinces of Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi.
‘As we grow in our business ventures on seaborne
trading, we have to update our competencies and cope-up with current trends on development
of systems and procedures and documentation of vessels, cargoes and passengers
at par with national and convention practices’, Bud stated.
Arvin A. Dadulo, a Training Specialist and Officer-in-Charge
of the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) Training Center, facilitates the seminar-workshop
which will culminate late afternoon on February 20 at the convention center.
